Haunted Wine Country

For more than a century, the natural beauty of Northern California’s wine country has drawn people from across the globe. But amongst the hardworking residents who made their homes there more than a century ago lurked a seedy and dangerous element: gamblers, thieves, prostitutes, murderers — even pirates. Death or ruin traveled with them. And long after committing their untoward deeds, the spirits of many remain there roaming the hillsides, frightening current residents and turning this otherwise serene area into Haunted Wine Country. Paranormal experts, authors, historians, ghost hunters and gifted psychics recount the area’s ghostly tales and describe their personal experiences.

Travel through California’s Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino counties visiting dozens of haunted locations. Presented by historians, writers, paranormal investigators and eye witnesses. This feature-length documentary film is a follow-up to Tom Wyrsch’s 2016 documentary “Haunted Sonoma County”

Produced & Directed by Tom Wyrsch. Presented by Laurie Jacobson. Interviews with paranormal investigators: Jeff Dwyer, Ellen MacFarlane, Devin Sisk, Doug Carnahan, Tami Benjamin and Carla Heine. Interviews with authors and historians: Daniel Sullivan, Evan Attwood, Frank Ailsworth and Guy Smith.

The film will be introduced by director Tom Wyrsch and host Laurie Jacobson.
